About Aunt Susie's House
Hello, my name is Susan. I have been crafting since I was about 6 years old when I made my first potato doll.
I loved her so much that I was very put out when my mother insisted that I throw her away because she was going rotten.
I grew up playing Lincoln Logs under my mother's quilts, which later instilled a love of fabrics and the art of quilting.
At 12, I sold my first doll clothes to all the mothers in the neighborhood for their daughter's new Christmas dolls. At 18, I designed and appliqued my first baby quilt for a friend who was moving away. Ever since, I have dabbled in a lot of crafts and loved most of them. I love to make homemade gifts and started making one-of-a-kind items.
People were often asking where I bought the pattern and wanted a copy. My designing seemed to blossom from there and I have been working on designs off and on for several years now. The patterns have been marketed in the Country Sampler, Country Marketplace, and Patterncrafts. Maybe you've seen us before. If not, I hope you will enjoy our designs as much as we do. Susan D.
